The cello, also referred to as the violoncello, is among the larger stringed instruments in the orchestra. It produces lower tones than the violin and the viola because it has longer strings. Because of its size, a cello is played differently than violins and violas. A cellist has to be seated when playing this instrument. To keep the instrument in a comfortable height, the cello comes with an endpin which extends to the ground. A cellist uses his left hand to finger the notes around the four strings, as the right hand either plucks the strings, or uses the bow to produce sounds in the strings. Making guitar: Which wood should I use?
Im currently doing research on some woods that I would be using to make a guitar such as;
Utile or Sappele
Maple
Ash
Rosewood
or Ebony (though that may be used for the fretboard)
I was wondering if anyone with experience with making guitars out of any of these woods would have any advice such as which wood would be best for the body or the neck and whether there's any particular problems with using any such as keeping the guitar or neck clean and having to use particular products so as not to crack or warp the guitar or neck etc.

As an aside, the kind of guitar shape's Im considering making would be similar to a Jackson King V/Jackson Randy Rhoads or maybe a B.C Rich Mockingbird if the shape of the guitar would affect the usability of the wood.
My dad is insane on the guitar, and I've been playing for a couple months now. The guitar I play with has either a maple or ash body, with a rosewood neck and I'm pretty sure an ebony fretboard. The body is up to you, but I've found rosewood is GREAT for the neck, and ebony works awesome for the fretboard. My body has a shape similar to this, though:

Oh, and if you're looking for an aesthetic design for the body, my dad's friend made this sick body by taking a spider web(a real one) and pressing it into the wood. It looks AMAZING.
